Day 1 of National FFA Convention complete! On our 10 hour ride, we stopped in Moline Illinois to see the John Deere Pavilion. The students learned about the history of John Deere and farming equipment. They also saw new tractors and combines! To finish off the day we stopped at Texas Roadhouse!
The One Act team at Elm Creek had the honor of getting a letter of well wishes from Edith Weiss the author of this year's play "No Body To Murder"! The season is approaching quickly with our first performance here in town at 7:30 am for the Elm Creek Early Bird! Break a leg!!!

The kindergartners and 5th graders paired up for a spooky science experiment today! The 5th graders showed their younger partners two mystery substances, and watched the chemical reaction happen after mixing in their decorated bag. The 5th graders were glad to share their knowledge from the matter unit they just finished! We had so much fun!

We are just finishing up eating breakfast before the Fall ACT today. We have 50 students testing so we can get some baseline data to help them score better on this college readiness test. LET'S GO BUFFS!!
The 7-12th grade Student Council Members are finding winners for the Door Decoration Contest! Top four doors will be sent out to the whole school to vote for the ultimate winners!!
Unfortunately the construction company is having issues with the excavator. The work on the old elementary is done for the weekend and will resume on Monday. Please avoid the area. It is extremely important to keep kids away from the area at all times.
Reminder...the process of the old elementary building coming down begins today. Please be cautious if you are around the area and do not allow children unsupervised. We want to maintain a safe environment for all. Thanks for your help!
