Students in Mrs. Killion health class watch a series every year called Believe In You. It tells stories of many people who have overcome hard times. Wednesday, they watched about the founder of Dude Be Nice. So many different life lessons learned in each episode. Love sharing this series with students every year.

Happy 5th day of 5th grade! These students are busy writing a “My Moment” paragraph using great details to paint a mental picture of their memory.

The Junior High shop class learned about the scroll saw today. They did the lesson, took the safety test, and got to all do some practicing. It was fun to watch! Great job Mr Schwarz!!

Here is the information sheet for the Nebraska Hall of Fame Volleyball Game vs Holdrege on Tuesday, August 20th 6 PM at Elm Creek. Please remember all proceeds from this event go to the Hall of Fame so we cannot accept passes and we cannot livestream. It is the only way we can have an opportunity to play someone else before the normal season starts. Admission is $6 for adults and $6 for students. GO BUFFS!!!

Today, the Juniors spend time analyzing the meaning behind words associated with what it means to be an American. Then, they worked on finding the tone of a short story.

Hello Elm Creek Public School families! Below is the ECPS free and reduced price meal application for you to print out and complete if you haven't done so already. We understand that it is not required for families to complete a meal application, however, we highly recommend that each family does, as it greatly impacts our food service funding. As a reminder - if your student(s) qualified for free or reduced price meals at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, your student(s) will continue to receive those same meal benefits ONLY for the first 30 days of school (September 19th, 2024). After the first 30 days of school, your student's meal status will be updated to "full price" unless we have received an updated meal application for the current school year or if your student automatically qualifies for free/reduced price meals. If you have any questions regarding free and reduced meals, please feel free to call the main office at (308)856-4300 or send an email to morgan.schnacker@elmcreekschools.org Thank you!

We are sure lucky to have this lady in the office. She juggles a lot of financial information and paperwork on a daily basis! She makes sure we always have what we need for refs and workers. She defines the word flexible and hard working for us. Thanks for all you do Linda!! You're GOLD!!

Hello Families!
Elm Creek Public Schools is actively collaborating with the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office to address the ongoing closures of Interstate 80 due to road construction and the resulting significant increase in traffic on HWY 30. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our students as they travel to school, events, and home on our buses and vans. In the event of a closure, we will make every effort to avoid HWY 30 and will use the overpass on US-183 to cross whenever possible. For athletics and activities, we will carefully select the safest routes for our teams based on their destinations. If a closure occurs at the beginning or end of the school day and we are informed, we will promptly notify everyone through the app.
Thank you for your understanding.
