Cookie Wednesday is coming! The Entrepreneur class will be selling fresh baked cookies to the elementary on Wednesday!
EC Golf was in action Monday at Alma. It was a warm and windy day but we played tough and shot some good scores.
The foods class made fruit salad today. They made a delicious dressing out of honey, lemon juice, and bit of sugar.
There were no pictures of the completed salad because they gobbled it up too fast !
We had some special visitors at the Board of Education Meeting tonight. The kindergartners came and talked about their Timeline Project. The FFA Natural Resources team discussed their State 3rd Place Finish. Ava discussed the work they put in to be FKC Quiz Bowl Champions. Thank you kids, teachers, and sponsors for your hard work.
Thursday May 2nd at 11:30 will be our Elementary Field Day. If we need a rain date we will have it on Monday May 13th. Try to remind your child to bring tennis shoes on PE days. We will practice when weather permits. We got out all last week to practice, which was great.
Congratulations to Ashley Carlton, who signed today to run cross country at Peru State! Earlier in the year Ashley also signed to play basketball there.
Softball pitching with Mr Marquez is Tuesday and Wednesday this week at 7:10 am in the gym. Remember you must have a catcher. The season is almost here, so I hope to see you there if you are pitcher.
Good luck to our HS Golf team at Alma and our JH Track team at Hi-Line (Elwood). Both events start at 10 am. GO BUFFS!!
In addition to prom happening yesterday, some of our junior high band students attended the first annual Holdrege Middle School Honor Band. This event consisted of a band and a percussion ensemble with students from four different school. These students spent the day working hard on their music and put on a wonderful concert! Thank you so much to all band directors (especially Miss Sines, the HMS director), clinicians, and administrators for making this event possible! For more photos, here is a link to the folder.
